Meet Brandon Webber!

Brandon is from Hammond and is the oldest of 4 children. He attended Hammond High School, then Louisiana State University and Southeastern Louisiana University. He has a 6 week old daughter named Ava.

We want to thank Brandon for spending some time with us and letting us get to know about his life and his love of the area.

Q: What led you to your current career?
A: In 2010 I needed a new job, and I had heard working in the plants was something I should check out. I found an office that hired people to work in the plants, and I went there everyday for 2 weeks trying to get some work. Finally, they told me about an opening as a painter, and the rest is history. I have traveled the United States working in different plants as a painter. I recently took a more local position to stay close to family.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?
A: I love Zea's Rotisserie. I order the corn grits and Thai ribs.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in the area?
A: My whole life until 2010 when I left for work!

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: Playing baseball for the City of Hammond or going on the road with my uncle who is a truck driver. We were only gone for a weekend, but it was great. I was about 12 years old.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: I would love to go to the Maldives. The photos from there are beautiful.

Q: What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you saw in a theater?
A: Remember the Titans. I honestly have no idea what the first movie I saw in the theater is. No clue!

Q: What advice would you give to a group of people?
A: Be aware of your surroundings.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: Go to an international soccer game with Adam Arceneaux or go to the Running of the Bulls in Spain

Q: What is your favorite music or an artist/band that you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: My favorite type of music is rap, and I would have loved to see Tupac perform.

Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?
A: SLU

Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with that you’ve never met, who is it and where would you go?
A: Barack Obama, and I would take him to Zea's!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?
A: I love the location. This parish has a great economy and there are still jobs available.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Supporting my daughter, being financially secure, and having a new career

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?
A: I love fragrances. Also, I am really an introvert, but people think I am an extrovert.

Q: What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think of the word “Home”?
A: Loved ones
