We want to thank Cody for spending some time with us and letting us get to know about his life and his love of the area.
Q: What led you to your current career?
A: I was in the car business as an internet manager for years, and then also did some digital marketing. I sold my condo about 5 years ago and I was really intrigued when my realtor hired a real estate photographer. I bought a camera and taught myself how to take and edit great real estate photos.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?
A: Albasha! I go there all the time and get the Chicken Shawarma Salad.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in the area?
A: Besides going to Southern Miss, and a few summertime adventures (I worked the ski lift at a resort in Vail, Colorado one summer), I've lived locally.
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: Playing baseball and basketball and just traveling around doing things like that.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: Australia. It seems like such a cool place, very different from everywhere else.
Q: What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: My favorite movie would have to be Happy Gilmore. The first movie I saw in a theater was Jumanji. I really remember all of the animal sounds jumping out through the surround sound. It was a cool experience.
Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
A: Find something that you are passionate about and master it.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: Skydiving
Q: What is your favorite music or an artist/band that you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: I like country music. Garth Brooks is someone I'd like to see live.
Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?
A: Cross Gates Family Fitness in Slidell.
Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with that you’ve never met, who is it and where would you go?
A: I think Matthew McConaughey. I just finished his book and he has had a cool life. Lots of stories to tell. I guess we would go to Albasha.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?
A: How it is the Sportsman's Paradise with so much opportunity for fishing, hunting and outdoor activities.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Hopefully still doing what I'm doing now, but on a larger scale. I'd like to expand my business and eventually take a step back.
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?
A: I love to golf. It's my favorite thing.
Q: What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think of the word “Home”?
A: Family
Q: If you could have a full-time staff member that is fully paid for, what would that be? (Chef, housekeeper, driver, coach, personal trainer, etc.)
A: A housekeeper. Keeping the house up with little kids is a never-ending task.
Q: Most commonly used emoji?
A: Thumbs up or the shrugging guy.
Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: Fly
Q: Do you have a hobby?
A: Golf. I like to play whenever I can.
Q: What is something you are most proud of?
A: Starting something on my own and figuring it out along the way.
