We want to thank Faith for taking some time to let us get to know her better!

Q: What led you to your current career?

A: In Grad School, I did an internship with Tangi Tourism. While there, I did a joint project with the Southeastern Archives, where I met Rhonda, who works at Ponchatoula City Hall. As they were looking to fill this position, it developed from there.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?

A: At Stowaway Coffee , I obviously enjoy the coffee. But also the macarons! I love the atmosphere at Roux & Brew. Their spinach and artichoke is next level!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in the area?

A: I've lived here my whole life!

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?

A: Any memories with my Maw-Maw Cat. She was just wonderful. We would watch Wheel of Fortune together and watch the Rosary on tv. We also liked to sit on the swing and do snap beans.

Q:
If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?

A: I've always wanted to go to the East Coast to visit all of the original colonies and their downtown areas. That's something that I think would be really cool, especially with my current job.

Q:
What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?

A: I think the Harry Potter movies would be my favorite. The first movie I saw in the theater was The Santa Clause.

Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?

A: Be involved! It is a way to learn to talk to people and to cooperate with people. The skills you develop come from those opportunities to work with other people.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

A: Go to Europe.

Q: What is your favorite music or an artist/band that you would like to see (dead or alive)?

A: Ariana Grande. I saw her once before and her show was awesome.

Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?

A: Paul's Cafe. It is the epitome of a family business in our small town, and it is just the perfect representation of our community.

Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with that you’ve never met and is alive today, who is it and where would you go?

A: Lady Gaga and her choreographer. Her creativity is just so intentional and impactful, and I like what she stands for. I don't care what we would eat, but I would want to spend our time in a studio or a creative space together.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?

A: The people. Everyone has a story. Especially in downtown Ponchatoula. The people are passionate about what they do.They love and commit to it. It is comfortable to be able to know the people you are surrounded by.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

A: I'd like to have a child or two! And to still be doing what I'm doing, whether that is locally for Ponchatoula or with the State in a bigger capacity.

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?

A: I dance. I've danced my entire life. I teach dance and ballet for a performance dance company. We put on performances with fun hats, crazy hair, choreography. The whole experience!

Q:
What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think of the word “Home”?

A: Comfort and Family.

Q:
If you could have a full-time staff member that is fully paid for, what would that be? (Chef, housekeeper, driver, coach, personal trainer, etc.)

A: A personal trainer. I work out nearly daily, so someone to help me with that.

Q: Most commonly used emoji?

A:The girl with her little hand up doing a hair flip

Q:
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

A: I would want to be like Elastigirl/Mrs. Incredible from The Incredibles!
