Meet Natalie Lemoine!

Natalie was born and raised in Metairie, LA. She met her husband, Brent, there and they have three daughters together: Brenna (17), Brookelyn (11), and Brielle (8)...and a dog named Boomer. They moved to Ponchatoula in 2013. Natalie is the Executive Assistant at LPL Financial - Retirement Planning Partners.

We want to thank Natalie for spending some time with us and letting us get to know about her life and her love of the area.

Q: What led you to your current career?
A: I got started in finance and banking. I was in the back office, and it just didn't work for me! I'm a people person. I started to venture out to different locations and loved it. I had a friend that worked at a financial planner and I got connected there and have been doing that ever since.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?
A: We rarely go to restaurants. We love to cook and eat together every night. But, I do enjoy seafood. For special occasions, we typically go to Cate Street Seafood Station.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in the area?
A: We used to come to Ponchatoula all the time to visit family. I've always considered it a second home. In 2013, we finally bought a house over here and have been here since.

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: Just being outside. Wherever I lived, I always made friends and we were always playing outside. And I'm still friends with most of those people today!

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: I'm kind of wary of flying, but I would love to go to every state and just see what it has to offer.

Q: What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: A funny fact is that I used to work at Blockbuster Video and we would get 5 free rentals a week...but I don't watch movies at all. But my favorite movie is Splash! I love the water, and I just felt like I was meant to be a mermaid when I was a kid. The first movie I saw in a theater was Milo & Otis. We went as part of a summer camp.

Q: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
A: Stop living for others or you'll be miserable for your entire life. You have to live for yourself and love yourself!

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: Scuba dive!

Q: What is your favorite music or an artist/band that you would like to see (dead or alive)?
A: I like most music. I listen to all kinds of types, depending on my mood. I'd love to go see The Revivalists. My all-time favorite to see would be Journey.

Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?
A: Mr. B's Pizza!

Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with that you’ve never met and is alive today, who is it and where would you go?
A: Prince. He was so interesting. I'm sure he would know of some cool, secret place that we could go eat.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?
A: Everyone knows everyone. It is a small, tight-knit community. It is kind of quaint, but also kind of city-ish. It's a good mix.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A:  I'll be a financial advisor by then, hopefully still working here! I'd like to move a little more north in the parish and have some land. I want to have goats and chickens and gardens. My own little slice of heaven.

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?
A: I am double-jointed. Also, my dad and all of his siblings all had 6 fingers and 6 toes on each of their hands and feet!

Q: What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think of the word “Home”?
A: Safety

Q: If you could have a full-time staff member that is fully paid for, what would that be? (Chef, housekeeper, driver, coach, personal trainer, etc.)
A: A housekeeper, for sure. Someone to stay on top of the cleaning and laundry!

Q: Most commonly used emoji?
A: Heart

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: Read people's minds.

Q: Do you have a hobby?
A: I like to do crafty things with my family. I'd like to learn to crochet one day.

Q: What is something you are most proud of?
A: My children. I feel blessed to be their mom and that I have the life and opportunities that I do.
