Q: What led you to your current career?
A: I was interested in the profession, and when I had the opportunity to work there, it seemed like a good fit. I do something new everyday. I really like working there.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?
A: Cena. They have so many good options. I get the steak panini for lunch. I love their brussels sprouts and the fusilli dish is great. Any of their drink specials, too!
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: My grandparents, and then my parents, owned a plant nursery when I was growing up, and we would go camping during their less busy season.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: Anywhere with white sand! We are going to Barbados for our 10-year wedding anniversary soon.
Q: What advice would you give a group of people?
A: Be true to yourself and live life to the fullest.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: Drive up the west coast, and hit up Napa on the way!
Q: What is your favorite type of music?
A: I listen to everything: pop, old country, classic rock
Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?
A: Paul's Cafe. You always see someone you know when you go there. It is family-owned and our kids love it. I just learned recently that they serve mimosas!
Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with that you’ve never met, who is it?
A: A great, great relative to learn about them and hear the stories of their lives.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?
A: That it is small, and family-oriented. Our food is really good, too.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: In Ponchatoula, in our dream home.
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?
A: That I went to the Police Academy. It was 13 weeks, and very intense. They spray you with pepper spray and then you have to perform officer tasks. They do it on a Friday, so you can recover during the weekend!
