Meet Chauncey Griffin!

Chauncey grew up in Kenner, Louisiana with his grandmother. He moved to St. John Parish and graduated from St. Augustine High School in 2003. He attended Delgado Community College, then transferred to Southeastern Louisiana University. It was there that he met his wife, Tyroneca. He has five wonderful children.

He is the Amite High School Agriculture teacher. He teaches his students how to grow their own food, and how to raise chickens, among other things. He is also the Assistant Coach to the Amite High School Basketball team.

Chauney has a business, GriffnGardensNGrowth, where he assists people with creating their own gardens. He builds raised beds and provides the seeds. He has written ebooks about how to garden, and how the process gives you peace.

We want to thank Chauncey for spending some time with us and letting us get to know about his life and his love of the area.

Q: What led you to your current career?
