Meet JoyBeth Moll!
JoyBeth grew up in Northeast Texas in a city named Marshall. She is an only child, and her family moved near Bossier, Louisiana later. She graduated high school with 37 people! In 2013, she graduated with her Bachelors in Communications and Spanish from Centenary College of Louisiana. She has always been very involved with her church, especially in children's ministry. It was at a youth convention that she met her husband, Casey. They jokingly say they met at a clown conference! They married on Cinco de Mayo in 2018, and she moved to Hammond to be with him. They are active members of The Pentecostals of Lee Road in Covington. She assists with the Children's Ministry planning, and loves coming up with new ideas. They are also very active with going on mission trips. They have been to Singapore, Malaysia, and Hawaii on mission trips. She raises money for their trips by baking cookies! John Henry's Sweets is where you can see some of her work! JoyBeth is also involved with the S.A.L.T (Student Act Leadership Team) Conference where hundreds of high school and college-aged young people come to learn leadership skills for a week in the Alexandria area. She attended the conference, and now is a leader on the team. She assists Kat Vet with adoption events and fosters kittens. She and her husband average about 5 foster kittens at a time. They do have their own pets also: 3 cats (Tigger, Sushi Roll and Coco Puff) and Maisel, a dog adopted from Kat Vet.
We want to thank JoyBeth for spending some time with us and letting us get to know about her life and her love of the area.
Q: What led you to your current career?
A: After I graduated, I worked for a law firm, then for a non-profit, CYBER.ORG. I still do freelance editing for them. Also, we needed a way to help fund our calling for mission work, so we had the idea to sell my cookies. We will be at the Sweet Treats on Main Street event in front of Kat Vet in Ponchatoula on December 11th selling them!
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?
A: I love The English Tea Room. I order Scottish Caramel Pu-erh tea, Coronation Chicken Salad, Vanilla Scones and their clotted cream for the tea! I love it there.
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: Going to summer camps as a child. I would always look forward to going to camp each summer, it was definitely my highlight! I made so many friends, and learned about God.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: Singapore to visit friends I have made there. It holds a special place in my heart, Casey and I have been able to watch the youth grow. We even got engaged there!
Q: What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
A: Pride and Prejudice and Princess Diaries. The first movie I remember seeing in the theater was The Princess Diaries with my family. It is such a good movie.
Q: What advice would you give a group of people?
A: You are created for a purpose. No one else can fulfill that purpose but you.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: To write a non-fiction book!
Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?
A: Eddie's Frozen Custard! It is one of the first places I realized Casey liked me. We had Eddie's at our wedding, but it was all gone before we could get any!
Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with, who is it and where would you go?
A: Julie Andrews, she reminds me of my grandmother. We would go to The English Tea Room, obviously!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?
A: The sense of community. I love how people love and care about one another. They want the area to thrive.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: I would love to be living on a mission field. We are always open to where God calls us.
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?
A: I can make balloon animals! Dogs and swords are my favorites to make. I also know at least 30 people that juggle, my husband being one of them. Being in children's ministry, everyone has taught themselves something for the kids.
Q: What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think of the word “Home”?
A: Peace.
Q: If you could have a full-time staff member that is fully paid for, what would that be? (Chef, housekeeper, driver, coach, personal trainer, etc.)

Q: What is the last gift you gave and received?
