Meet Morgan Seale!

Morgan grew up in Hammond, Louisiana. She is the oldest of 3, and has one brother and one sister. She attended Holy Ghost School and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas. She got her bachelors in Marketing from Louisiana State University in 2008, then went on to get her Masters in Business Administration from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2010. She married Grady, who she started dating in high school, in 2012. Together they have Halle (6) and Kennedy (4). She and her husband are part owners of Covey Rise Farm, and they have their own salsa company, Covey Rise Kitchen. She has been an Account Executive for Lamar Advertising since 2010. Morgan is on the Board of the Directors for the Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce and is also an alumni of the Leadership Tangipahoa program. This year, Morgan is also the room mom to Kennedy's class.

We want to thank Morgan for spending some time with us and letting us get to know about her life and her love of the area.

Q: What led you to your current career?
A: When I was at LSU, I interned in the Marketing Department at Lamar's corporate office in Baton Rouge. It was a great internship, and I learned a lot. After I graduated, I worked at Tangi Lifestyles doing ad sales, and thought I would be there for a while. Lamar called me and asked if I would be interested in working with them again, and offered me a great position. That was about 10 years ago, and I love my job.

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?
A: Cena is my favorite restaurant. I love the gnocchi, whatever the market fish is, and their cucumber basil martini with no simple syrup.

Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: The neighborhood that we grew up in. My husband grew up in the same neighborhood, and so did many of our childhood friends. We rode bikes, had clubhouses, and we were always playing. We actually live in the same neighborhood now!

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: Italy, the Amalfi Coast!

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: My favorite movie has always been Clueless!

Q: What advice would you give a group of people?
A: The prettiest person in the room is the one smiling.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: Going to Italy. Definitely more traveling. There are so many places I would like to go to.

Q: What is your favorite music or an artist/band that you would like to see?
A: I listen to it all - from country to rap. I have been to some great concerts. I saw Tom Petty before he died. Garth Brooks and Britney Spears were good, too!

Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?
A: The Cuco’s restaurant in the old mall by the movie theater. Everyone had a birthday dinner there for the free dessert!

Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with, who is it and where would you go?
A: My grandfather "(my father’s Dad). I was very young when he passed, so I would like to get to know him as an adult. He was one of the founders of St. Thomas and was on the Board for North Oaks Hospital.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?
A: We are a small town, but there is everything you need. There are so many locally-owned businesses, too. I really like that.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Still with Lamar; I really love my job. We are in our forever home now, so continuing to make it home with my family. Still a part of Covey Rise. And our salsa to be in Wal-Mart stores!

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?
A: I really am an open book! Most people don't know I wake up at 4am to work out, though! Also, I spent 49 nights at Children's Hospital in PICU with Kennedy. She caught a virus as a newborn, and it led us to the hospital for over a month.

Q: What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think of the word “Home”?
A: My neighborhood, Oak Ridge.

Q: If you could have a full-time staff member that is fully paid for, what would that be? (Chef, housekeeper, driver, coach, personal trainer, etc.)
A: A full time housekeeper who also does laundry!

Q: If you had to choose one type of cuisine to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
A: Japanese! I love sushi.

Q: What do you do when you are alone in your car?
A: Either listen to rap music very loud or listen to Heather McMahan's podcast.

Q: What is the last gift you gave and received?
A: Last gift I gave was a 1 year old birthday gift to Mattie. We gave her a puzzle, bib, and a baby work out set. Last gift I received was my friends threw me a birthday party where they all dressed as me. It was the best!

Q: What are you known for?
A: Being the planner of social activities with my friends. Either for a weekend or a night out. Also, I love a good vacation itinerary.

Q: What is your favorite 90s jam?
A: Hook by Blues Traveler.

Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: Have super speed, but I would like to slow down when it is a fun, social activity.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: Traveling, boating on the Tickfaw River near our camp, playing tennis.

Q: What is your most commonly used emoji?
A: Crying laughing face.

Q: What is something you are most proud of?
A: My kids, losing 20 pounds this year, growing my customer base a lot the past 2 years with Lamar. My close friendships for the past 10 years or so.

Q: What two items would you take with you if you shipwrecked on a deserted island where food and water were taken care of?
A: Grady and wine.

Q: What is the funniest thing that happened to you recently?
A: About 3 months ago I was riding a golf cart with my sister-in-law, and I fell out. The cart kept moving, and she couldn't figure out where I went. We still laugh about it.

Q: If you won the lottery, what would be the first 3 things you would purchase or spend money on?
A: A yacht, making my home exactly how I want it and a mommy makeover!
