We want to thank Tiffiney for spending some time with us and letting us get to know about her life and her love of the area.
Q: What led you to your current career?
A: I enjoy being around people, so nursing was an obvious choice. I decided to go back to school to be more challenged and have more autonomy.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in the area, and what do you like to get there?
A: We love The Steakhouse, and I order the filet, medium with mac and cheese and onion rings. Yellow Bird Cafe is also a classic spot, I get mimosas!
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: Riding horses barefoot with a BB gun in the country! We lived in the country. When I was in the 1st grade I remember riding in the back of a truck with my feet running over the red dirt.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be? And why?
A: Bali because it is gorgeous! I would like to be relaxing and sliding into the ocean.
Q: What is your favorite movie? What is the first movie you saw in the theater?
A: Step Brothers is my favorite movie. I remember seeing ET with my mom and cousins the first time I went and saw a movie in the theater.
Q: What advice would you give a group of people?
A: If you’re not happy, get happy. Figure it out!
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
A: Visit Glacier National Park. We are planning to go in 2022.
Q: What is your favorite music or an artist/band that you would like to see?
A: I love Trombone Shorty! Also 70's and 80's country music. I clearly have a wide range of music.
Q: What current or former business makes you the most nostalgic about the area?
A: Ponchatoula Feed and Seed. My grandfather liked to grow fruit and veggies and we would buy baby chicks there when I was a child.
Q: If you could choose one person to go to lunch with that you’ve never met and is alive today, who is it and where would you go?
A: Harry Styles! We would go to a cafe in Paris.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique that you love about the area?
A: Our location, you can get to New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Covington quickly, yet we have a small town feel.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Still living in this area. Downsized in home. Married again. Having more rescued animals.
Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you (even friends or family)?
A: I wanted to be a garbage-woman when I grew up! They always had first dibs on all the good stuff people were getting rid of! That changed around the 5th grade.
Q: What is a word or phrase that comes to mind when you think of the word “Home”?
A: Always welcome.
Q: If you could have a full-time staff member that is fully paid for, what would that be? (Chef, housekeeper, driver, coach, personal trainer, etc.)
A: Housekeeper! Especially with all the animals.

Q: If you won the lottery, what would be the first 3 things you would purchase or spend money on?
A: First, I would take Trint and I on a vacation. Maybe Greece on a yacht. A way we could travel by boat and land. I would also get a small, nice house that is secluded for us and rejected animals. Lastly, I would give a big chunk to KatVet.
